FELIPE CUESTA CUESTA
Bachelor of Law and Philosophy and Humanities from the University of Oviedo.
Felipe Cuesta Cuesta founded CUESTA ABOGADOS in 1969. In light of the increasing arrival of foreign investment in Spain at the time, mainly from Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, he specialises in advising companies with foreign capital. He developed his professional practice in the fields of Commercial Law and Procedural Law, being involved in: numerous merger and acquisitions operations, the construction of a wide range of installations and hotels, advice on contractual issues, including issues of contractual liability, contested corporate agreements, and bankruptcy issues.

MIGUEL CUESTA BOOTHMAN
Miguel Cuesta concluded his studies in Law (specialising in Legal & Business Law) at the San Pablo CEU University in 1997.
Inmediately after graduating, he began to work for a German company - Bertelsmann Club - based in Rheda-Wiedenbrück (Germany) and subsequently for the Brandi Dröge Pilz Heuer & Gronemeyer Law Firm (Germany).
He joined CUESTA ABOGADOS in 1998 and has been running the Firm since 2002. His professional work since he joined the firm has been focused on the fields of Mercantile Law, Procedural Law and Energy Law. In the field of mercantile law, he has been involved in numerous company purchases and sales, mergers, spin-offs and business branch acquisitions. In the fields of Procedural Law, Civil and Mercantile Law, Bankruptcy Law and Arbitration, he has been involved in all kinds of procedures that include, among others, claims arising from contractual liability and product liability, contested corporate agreements, claims arising from agency contracts, Administrator and company liability resulting from the declaration of bankruptcy as the party culpable for and/or accomplice to the bankruptcy. In the field of Energy Law, he has advised both Spanish and foreign companies on the acquisition and financing of wind farms and solar photovoltaic power plants, on the construction of photovoltaic power plants and on the sale of wind farms and solar photovoltaic power plants.

FRANCISCO JAVIER MATESANZ MOLINA
He completed his studies in accounting and taxation at the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid in 1988. Since then and until 2003, he has spent time with several companies in various sectors, always working in the field of finance. In 2003, he was hired by a “family office” where he held the post of financial director until 2009.
Since 2010, he has worked with CUESTA ABOGADOS on tax and accounting issues.

REBECA CUESTA
She graduated in Law from the San Pablo CEU University in 2005. After completing her degree, she undertook a period of work experience at the Mullerat Abogados law firm. She then spent several years working in the banking sector for La Caixa. Wishing to expand her professional horizons, she undertook an Executive Master’s Degree in Human Resources at the Garrigues University Studies Centre.
She joined CUESTA ABOGADOS in 2010 to combine her work in the fields of Employment Law and Mercantile Law, providing her services to both Spanish and international companies.
